Queal Shakes contain common building blocks of great nutrition. We’ve added vitamins and minerals to make every meal a complete meal. That is how you can thrive.
Ingredients you know
Oat flour from Scottish oats is the basis of Queal. It provides the balance of slow carbohydrates to the faster carbohydrates of Maltodextrin (corn). High-quality whey protein (82%) and soy flour provide protein and essential fats.
Nutrition you can rely on
Together the ingredients provide you with a 13/54/34 energy balance of lipids/carbs/protein. Each meal has 8,3 grams of sugar. And a healthy dose of 14,4 grams of fiber.
The main ingredient of Queal is Oat Flour, which is an oatmeal made from very finely ground whole grain oats. Oats contain gluten (allergen).
Maltodextrin is a complex carbohydrate, that delivers fast-release carbohydrates. It is created from cornstarch.
Whey Protein is a by-product of the cheese-making process. It is manufactured from sweet cheese whey using cross-flow membrane filtration. This excellent source of protein contains dairy and has 4% lactose. Learn more
Our Soy Flour is full-fat toasted and the last main ingredient in Queal. Like the other main ingredients it's from the EU and non-GMO. Learn more
Palm- and Flaxseedoil are sources of Omega-3 and -6 fatty acids. The flaxseeds are coldpressed. We use a micro-coating technique to mix the oil into the powder.
Inulin is a fibre extracted from roots of the cichorei-plant.
The micro-nutrient mix is a very fine powder that is custom made for each variation of Queal. It contains more than 20 vitamins and minerals. See the backlabels (above) for more details.
Glucose Syrup is very sweet and we use a tiny bit of this to sweeten Queal.
Adding a Stabiliser improves the taste and best-before-date of Queal. We used potassium- and sodium trifosfates as a stabilising agent. It may sound complex, but they’re just fancy salt.
Each one of our flavours has a different flavouring additive (see backlabels above) to create the great taste! All flavouring additives are natural (not synthetic).
Xanthan Gum is a common emulsifier (to get the oils impregnated into the powder), stabilizer (to increase the lifespan of Queal), and thickening agent (to make the texture of Queal better).
Silicon Dioxide is what makes sure you don't get clumps in your Queal. They are tiny particles that break the surface tension to reduce clumping.
We use a tiny bit of sweetener in Queal to increase the, surprise surprise, sweetness! Sucralose, which is 600x sweeter than sugar, is used for this.
